Well, as I updated in my last deviation, I'm writing a novel of mine called 'As for Punishment...'

Here are the details:

50 or so years ago, this couple named Yuuki and Zaraku had met this sort of Clan of Oni, a clan of demonic people with many many dark secrets in its history. They were originally trying to carry out an errand when one of the clan members had caught them. Anyway, the Oni threatened the couple until Zaraku had settled on a deal.
" If we promise to keep your clan secret from the rest of civilization." Zaraku had promised. The Oni Clan leader had thought hard and decided to accept on one condition.
" Each mistake my people see in your species will cost you dearly as Punishment. Each time our kind is mixed into yours, your Punishment will become even greater than before." Even though it sounded like a harsh condition, Zaraku would have done anything to get Yuuki out of trouble. She was already on the brink of death by this time of their torture.
" And.. what do you mean by mistake?" Yuuki asked is a ragged voice. The Oni leader only smiled.
" You will see very very soon, young one... You will see," was his only reply.

Not much later (meaning about 2 months), Yuuki died from internal severe bleeding and mental disorder. Zaraku became furious about her death and swore out load he'd gain the head of the leader as revenge. He soon got his message through and the clan of Oni came back to take Zaraku. There, the leader strengthened the condition.
" You have broken your own deal, insolent one... You must pay the price, but if you do not accept, every single one of your kind will suffer this Punishment..." [ a lil' too much, you say? Keep reading!]
" Why do you wish to keep your Clan's existence secret?"
" We are of a higher civilization than your puny species; we do not deserve such class. Soon you will understand why, too." The leader then chanted a sort of mystical spell across the lands of Yunima [don't question the names, I made them up...] " Now, each human has been dosed with our sacred poison. Each mistake will ignite this poison in a person."
" Will we know who died with this poison?" Zaraku quickly regretted asking this question as he felt his insides burning and feeling his organs slowly bleed and break.
" Yes, you will see..." The leader muttered as he watched Zaraku die.

Now people around the world are trying to find out what is causing such random deaths, for each person that knew about the clan quickly died. However, there is a way to seize this horrifying reign of the Oni, but can they pull it off?
